Caravan, Covent Garden

Address: Grain House, Covent Garden, London
Type: Fit out
Duration: 13 weeks weeks
Designer: The Other Side
QS: Pembrook

du Boulay were thrilled to be invited to tender for the new Caravan outpost at Covent Garden following our previous works with the client at Bankside & Bloomberg Arcade.

The project at the recently refurbished Grain House was for a full fit out from a clean shell. The project also required some minor enabling works to suit the design. The site is split over two floors (Ground & Basement) and required the installation of two new staircases, dumbwaiters and a full MEP package, joinery installation and finishes throughout.

The unique finishes included crazy paving to the ground floor. The floor was finished with a natural junction into a bespoke aggregate resin. Exposed brick walls and exposed services to the ceilings finished the look. The basement includes specialist clay works plaster and timber floors throughout the front of house spaces.

New joinery included a huge bar to the ground floor, a dispense bar to the basement and a DJ/Record playing unit for entertainment. All finished off with bespoke concrete tops, unique tiles and a muted, yet exciting colour palette.
