Ape and Bird, Cambridge Circus

The Ape & Bird, large modern day public house on the site of the former Marquis of Granby on Cambridge Circus. The team behind Polpo have opened the Ape and Bird, a large and lively traditional pub on the site of the Marquis of Granby (which coincidentally, du Boulay had fitted out many years ago). The three floors include a 120-cover restaurant, a more informal pub and two additional bars. The space has many signature Russell Norman features eg rusty tin ceilings imported from the US, iron chandeliers inspired by some spotted in Balham underground, antique French wall lights and Brazilian ceiling fans.
