Project Comments:
Our team successfully delivered the Arc Canary Wharf facility within a complex basement environment, working within strict logistical constraints. The project required expert coordination between various trades to integrate specialist MEP services, high-performance insulation, and bespoke finishes, ensuring the space could withstand the extreme temperature differentials essential to contrast therapy.
Design Comments:
The interior design merges Scandinavian-inspired minimalism with high-end spa aesthetics. The sauna, one of the UK’s largest, features timber detailing that enhances heat retention and durability. The ice bath area is designed for both functionality and ambiance, utilizing precision-controlled water temperatures and atmospheric lighting to enhance the guest experience. Bespoke joinery and seamless finishes throughout the space contribute to a calming, high-quality environment.
Challenges & Solutions:
Constructing a wellness facility in a below-ground space presented unique challenges, including ventilation, drainage, and thermal insulation. Careful planning was required to integrate specialist HVAC systems capable of managing extreme humidity and temperature fluctuations. Additionally, site access restrictions necessitated precise material deliveries and phased installation to maintain efficiency and avoid disruption to the wider Canary Wharf development. Through meticulous project management and specialist contractor collaboration, we successfully delivered a high-performance, aesthetically refined space.
