du Boulay Partnering Design Bites Event at Tom’s Kitchen, Canary Wharf
Restaurant and Bar Design Week
du Boulay are delighted to announce that they are sponsoring the upcoming Restaurant and Bar Design Week.
Running from the 28 July to 2nd August, this is a celebration of the most innovative restaurants and bars, their interiors and furniture. “Design Bites” Q and A sessions are running every day at a selection of venues with representatives from the client and design teams of each particular venue in attendance. We are delighted to be partnering the event on Tuesday 29th July at Tom’s Kitchen, Canary Wharf. Chef Tom Aikens and architect Ben Masterton-Smith of Michaelis Boyd Associates will be hosting this event. The talk will explain the key design objectives with regards to the creation of Tom’s Kitchen Canary Wharf, and highlight how the design brief was created, challenged and achieved. Tom will discuss his vision, inspiration and what he thinks of the overall outcome of the project. Ben will explain how the brief was implemented, the challenges they met along the way, and how the site stands out within the industry in terms of aesthetics, practicality and design.
du Boulay completed this project back in Summer 2013.
