Located on the quayside in Exeter, Rockfish is in a perfect location for some great seafood!
The Rockfish restaurant went into a brand new eco-friendly stand-alone unit. We took posession of the site shortly after the base-build contractors had finished and spent 8 weeks fitting it out.
The works included new services and electrical installation, new joinery, reclaimed finishes and the signature log burner that features in most Rockfish restaurants.
Slick design and clever detailing were paramount on this project due to the exposure & views from all sides and angles. The site is 80% glass to the external walls.
The front of house space is inviting, full of fixed seats and notable maritime elements including sailors lamps, shipping maps and the shipping forecast played through the speakers within the toilets.

We found the experience of working with du Boulay positive from the off, a company with a great team and a real “can do“ attitude. They worked closely with us through the design and budgeting process and managed the programme on time and delivered on budget.
On site we felt every member of their team wanted to build a great restaurant for us exactly as we wanted. The quality of the finished works are the best we have been able to achieve in any of our restaurants and we are looking forward to future projects with them which now seem ever more possible.
