Caravan Bankside, located just south of the Thames near Borough Market and the Tate Modern, occupies a 4,000 sq ft space within the converted Metal Box Factory. The design emphasizes natural light and open spaces, featuring large windows that open fully in summer, creating an airy indoor/outdoor dining experience. The interiors showcase a minimalist aesthetic with marble-topped tables, eclectic furniture, and a warm color palette, drawing inspiration from Nordic design principles.

Project Delivery:
The design integrates rich, earthy materials such as linen, clay, earthenware, and rustic oak timber, fostering a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

Design Highlights:
The interior design emphasises natural materials and a minimalist aesthetic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The expansive space is organised with bespoke elements, including a massive bar along one wall.

Challenges and Achievements:
Transforming a former industrial space into a vibrant dining destination presented challenges in balancing the preservation of original architectural features with the creation of a functional and welcoming environment. The design successfully honors the building’s heritage while introducing modern elements that enhance the guest experience, solidifying Caravan Bankside’s status as a sought-after venue in London’s vibrant dining scene.
